Chapter 2, Exploring Personality, September 2-8

I was inspired reading all your blog posts on motivation.  Motivation sets the stage for success.  Many of you mentioned careers and the economy as motivators for going to college.  You are more likely to be employed and to like your career if you have an education.

One of the keys to success is what you do on a daily basis.   One of the students in our class, Zabdiel Munoz says, "Anybody can start off pumped in the beginning and do great things, but people who are unusually successful are those who do small things consistently."  So do a little of your homework each day and it all adds up to success.

Chapter 2 began with the Do What You Are (DWYA) personality assessment which has a 4 letter code used to summarize your personality type based on your answers in the assessment.  For example, my code is ISTJ which stands for introvert, sensing, thinking and judging type.

Posting 1:

Choose one of your letters and write 100 words about this aspect of your personality focusing on the positives of your type. Remember that one personality type is not better than any other.  Each type has different talents that can be useful in your personal or career life.  You may think that you are a combination of 2 different types.  It is OK to describe your unique combination.

Here is a sample of about 100 words:

Based on the DWYA, I am a judging type.  I know that this is true because I can only feel relaxed when things are orderly and organized.  I plan my work and think about priorities when managing my time which helps me to accomplish my goals.  I even plan out my vacations in advance and like to have everything planned so I can relax and have fun.  I have met some opposite types in my lifetime and try to appreciate their differences.  I have found that perceptive types can usually introduce an element of fun in the situation and they motivate me to be a little more spontaneous at times.  I’m still most comfortable with my plans and don’t like to change them.

Posting 2:

Read another student’s posting who has the same personality type as yours and write a response to their post.

Here is a sample response of about 100 words:

I am a judging type also.   I could relate to your need to be orderly and organized.  I generally plan my time and like to have all my things organized.  I get stressed when things are out of order.  I have also met some perceptive types and I have to admit that they drive me a little crazy.  I like your idea of appreciating their differences and just trying to have fun with them.  I know that these opposite types think I am too set in my ways.  Being a judging type has lots of positives.  I plan to major in accounting and this seems to be a natural fit for my personal strengths.

Just as a quick review, here is a brief definition of all types on DWYA.  Please review these definitions before you make your comments.

Introvert: private, likes quiet for concentration, likes to think before speaking
Extravert: social, likes variety, sometimes speaks before thinking
Sensing: works step-by-step, learns from experience, trusts what is concrete and certain
Intuitive: values imagination and innovation, focus on possibilities, creative and imaginative
Thinking: calm and objective, makes decisions based on logic, analyzes emotions, likes debate
Feeling: makes decisions based on personal values, values empathy and harmony, caring, emotional
Judging: orderly, organized, work first and play later, follows a routine, meets deadlines (Note: it does not mean to judge others!)
Perceptive: spontaneous, go with the flow, play first and do the work later, dislike routine, difficulty meeting deadlines

  1. Based on the DWYA, i am a little bit of everything. I carry traits and qualities from all different attitudes. This is very true about me. I am mainly an intuitive person though, I value my imagination and innovation. I solve problems by leaping through different opportunities and possibilities. i put my mind to the test all the time, and rely on myself to create something new and exciting. I focus on the bigger picture. If i am in a bad situation in my life, i try to think positively and think about the future and how these problems will create a better outcome for myself. I trust my instincts.

    1. Hi Giuseppe. It's great to meet you! You have a unique name; where are you from? :) I also found myself identifying with many qualities of everything. The more I thought about and reflected on it, though, there was definitely one that I identified with more than the other. For example, just like you, I am also an intuitive type. My perspective is the bigger the problem, the bigger the opportunity. I love what you said about valuing imagination and innovation, and about solving problems by "leaping through different opportunities". I have found that not only am I able to stay joyful in the midst of difficulty, but I am also able to find solutions faster when I have this mindset. People like us are usually accused of not seeing "reality", but I happen to believe that we are seeing reality through a different lens. We don't just "see" reality, we create it. :D

    2. Hi Zabdiel,
This is a really good description of an intuitive personality type. I especially like your statement about creating reality. Nice work!

    3. Hi, Giuseppe! It is very nice to meet you! I am a Judger too, according to the DWYA report. I am only at peace when I am caught up with my work as well! I can be very controlling and very precise. When it comes to working, I am very professional and like to get things done on time. Even a little earlier so I can have more time to relax. I also like to be on time as well. I do not like it when people are waiting for me. In my room, throughout school, and when I will be working, I am very organized. I am very intuitive as well. I love expressing my imagination and innovation. I like to focus on possibilities and I am very creative.

  2. Well, since nobody else has posted there personality traits, i will write about mine and Mrs. Fralick's similarities (according to what she wrote). i also have a judging personality as well. The only time i am ever at peace with myself is when i am all caught up on work and organized. I plan things ahead of time and also think of ways to accomplish my goals. I also plan out my vacations. I dont really like to leave options open because i am terrible when it comes to making up my mind on the spot. i have a tendency to be extra neat, especially with important work.

  3. Based on the DWYA, I am a thinking type. When it comes to decision-making and problem-solving, I am definitely a thinker. I really can see this playing out in my social life. I have had people come to me with their problems, one of them being my girlfriend, and I've had to learn to listen and understand first because my first instinct is to want to give them the solution to their problem. Not only that, when I realize that the problem really isn't the problem, but the problem is the person, I am not afraid to tell them. Of course, I've learned ways in which I can say things so that it is easier for them to receive because I really do care about the person and their heart. I know, by experience, that it's possible for me to be right, but oh so wrong. However, I am not willing to go round and around in circles with someone. If they know they're in a hole and want to get out, I am more than willing to patiently work with them.

    1. I am also a thinker and I can totally agree with everything you said. I have also been in the situation where someone ask for help, and it seems that the solutions is very obvious. Like you said, sometimes it can be hard to not give advice too soon or be too harsh with the advice. I had a friend that would always ask me for advice for a lot of problems he was having, so I would give him very practical and logical advice to overcome it. In the end he would let his emotions overtake him and fall into the same problems again. It ended up just going around and around like you said.

    2. I as well am a thinker, and I very much so value honesty. I've realized that by being so bold at times it can cause hurt feelings, so I've also had to learn how to be tactful with my word, and get things across to people without hurting their feelings. It used to be a skill that I did not have, however I’ve improved on it throughout the years. Before making any major decisions I usually wait till I'm in a rational frame of mind because I do not like making decisions based off of rash emotions. I as well can give very clear, and level-headed advice.

  4. Your comment from the thinking or logical point of view is a really important one. How do two people communicate when one is a thinking type and one is a feeling type? I think it is important for the thinking types to be able to listen to the feeling types. Feeling types often just want someone to hear them and not offer a solution. The best solution is one that someone figures out for themselves based on their own examination of the problem. What works for one person may not work for another. I think your comment shows some understanding of this. I am a thinking type also and have had to learn this to improve my communication and understanding of others.

  5. The reason I chose the definition of extravert to describe myself would be because as a person I am very out going and am usually the individual that isn’t shy. I choose to make any conversation as flowing and not boring as possible when explaining or discussing a subject. As for variety I am interested in so many different sports and the things I do with my free time are quite different. For example I was on the wrestling team and now I am dedicated to golfing. These two sports play into how I may sometimes speak before I think because as much as I am patient, I can be aggressive in getting my points across when I want to. At the same time, I am a great listener, but am never afraid to share my thoughts and feelings.

  6. My other characteristic that closely matches my personality would be judging due to my work background. My parents have always taught me to work hard no matter what the situation is. I have been working and juggling school, doing this successfully has been done from staying organized. For example I always use a calendar to keep track of what needs to be done and therefore I never forget what has to be turned in. I also play sports so I realize that in order to play I need to get my work out of the way. So when it is stated work first and play later, my life typically goes this way and this has kept me a successful person.

  7. Based on the DWYA report my personality type is INFP. I most agree with me being introverted in my feelings (intuitive). I am all about feelings, internally intense and sensitive. I am strong on my beliefs and values, unwilling to change them for anyone. I have always felt as though I had this deep rooted life inside of me separate from the world. choices I make are usually strictly based on what I feel, facts do not mean much to me if my intuition is telling me different. I am also very big on my personal space, I need "Alone time" and I cant stand to have my personal space invaded. Im looked at as reserved and quiet around new people but I would say I am more so cautious and an observer. I am slow to trust but I am also very loyal. I guess I am a super complex person but my intentions as always good.

    1. Hi Vanessa I am Ledya. And based on my DWYA report is ISFJ. And it stands for Introversion Sensing Feeling Judging. And I know our DWYA are different but we almost have the something. Like you are all about feeling. Mine is the same thing. And if my friends and family jokes with me I am really sensitive and that showed in my DWYA. And I am a royal too. And it was really nice meeting and getting to you better. Based on your DWYA. And in that case we got something in common after all. It was nice meeting again.

    2. Ledya,
I totally get the sensitive thing. I am very sensitive. I hate being so sensitive but thats just who I am. I look forward to getting to know you this semester!

    3. Hi Vanessa,
Based on my DWYA assessment I was also rated an introvert. I was really interested in reading the end of your post because I see a lot of my personal tendencies that you have too. I don't really care for people that like to be loud and in everyone's personal space because to me that is something that I cherish and therefore those type of people aggravate me. My parents sometimes think I'm distant because I need my alone time everyday just to recharge myself and relax. The last thing that I really connected to was when you said you're looked at as reserved and quiet around new people but you would say that your're more so cautious and an observer. That is one of the principles I follow as well when meeting new people because I've learned you can;t really trust everyone you meet.

    4. Hi Vanessa,
I can totally relate to you. The one thing that is different about us though is that I am a sensing person. Though I definitely agree with intense feelings, and needing to have time alone. I also greatly agree with the last few sentences of your comment where you mentioned that you are often looked at as reserved but it is just because I don't know the person yet so I am kind of cautious. Also, I like how you mentioned that you are someone who is slow to trust people but is very loyal.

    5. i can relate with you Monica because i am also an introvert.you are right when you said you can't trust everyone you meet.that is why i don't hang in big groups.my parents also think I'm a bit distant because i like my own space too.i like to be comfortable sometimes relaxing by myself and doing what i like.people that are too loud and want to be in my face is a turn off for me also.because i like my space and i am more comfortable when people respect my space.its nice to see we are pretty similar with our DWYA report.we are introverts and it is okay!

  8. According to the DWYA report, I’m a strong Perceptive type. I absolutely dread routines, and I’m always looking for a way to spice things up. Sometimes school and work create routines that are necessary to stick to, and even then I try to add things to my days to make them stand out more from one another. I tend to work in bursts of energy, one day I’ll be extremely productive and I’m able to accomplish loads of amounts of work, and the next day it takes a lot of mustered up energy for me to complete things. I don’t like to be organized, as funny as it may seem to others being organized stresses me out. I prefer to live in the now and thinking too far ahead about deadlines or completing tasks really takes away from the present moment. I know that when the energy hits me it’ll be an appropriate time for me to complete the task I have at hand. I’m extremely adaptable to changes, and I like having an open ended amount of things to do with my day.

    1. Maikayla,

It seems like you have things figured out to go along with your personality. As you mentioned there are times you need to stick to routines but it seems like you have spiced up your life to get the routine things accomplished but yet do it in your style. That is fantastic that you have learnd to do that. I am the complete opposite and I like the routines. While it can be boring it helps me to accomplish my work and focus on what I have to do. As long as a person has a plan to meet their deadlines it doesn't matter if they are a perceptor or judger. Like Professor Fralik mentioned there is no one right personality and if we all were the same we would be butting heads with each other and life would be boring. It is nice to have a variety of personalities because the different types can help each other see things in each others perspective. I admire your statement that you "Prefer to live in the now", you are right because life is too short and you never know what can happen. We should enjoy the present as much as we can, however realistically we all are looking to the future in order to accomplish our goals and dreams.

      Mike

    2. I really do admire your spontaneity, but I do not believe I would be able to last even a little bit of time with no routine or scheduled tasks. Like, I am absolutely 100% for routines and following directions. I tend to procrastinate but I still scored way to the opposite side of perceptive. Since I'm a judger, everything is just so much easier and so much better for me if I plan it out or follow directions rather than wait for things to happen or wait for a warning or some sort of alert that i have to get something done.

      Delete
    3. Waiting til the last minute to finish work is definitely a bad habit I've acquired, I try to do it before the last minute but it never ends up that way. I imagine everything would be easier if you had it laid out in a scheduled format that gave you direction on how to manage your time.

  9. Based on the DWYA report,I am a feeler. I am very concerned about others and would never want to hurt them in any way. While most males are considered to be “Thinkers” versus “Feelers”, I don’t fit into that majority. I will always, no matter what the situation is find the good in a person. I will never put anyone down, I always compliment everyone on a job well down and I will always pull for the underdog. I really believe that it is a trait that has been inherited because it seems like all the men on my mother’s side of the family are the same way. I also like to see harmony, I don’t like it when people are constantly arguing and fighting. I am also very tactful in what I say to people, I am a firm believer that it is, not what you say to someone but how you say it that can make a difference. I believe that you need to treat others, how you want to be treated. If you don’t want people to be rude to you then you better not be rude to them. I am also very caring and emotional and believe it or not I am one of those guys that may cry in a sad movie or get moved by it.

    1. Hi Michael.

I'm Kristina. I am also a feeler. I'm always trying to help and figure out everybody else is problems. I think its a good thing and a bad thing. It is a hood thing because I like to help in anyway I can. I like to make others happy. Then it is a bad thing because people take advantage of me and use my weakness as kindness. I believe this will help you in your future because you'll always know the right thing to do in different situations.

    2. Micheal & Kristina,
I too am a feeler... I am always feeling (lol) sensitive by nature. Im the person everyone comes to for advice when they are in need. I enjoy being able to be that person to the people I care about but on the other side of the token its draining... I feel exhausted after, as life they just dumped their load on me. I love having the ability to have empathy for people but it does overwhelm me. Thats where my need to have space and alone time comes in, thats my time to recharge!

  10. My DWYA code is ISFJ. First I am happy to see what my DWYA code was. And know I know what it is. It’s that I’m quite gentle and carrying. And I’m respectful and sensitive. I like to be respectful to everyone. But I also am careful with my money and possessions. Well I like to take care of my money because I don’t want to waste my money on silly things. I want to spend it on important things like buying books for college and for other important that I need in my life. And my possession is I really like to control everything

  11. This whole personality test surprised me with the results. It was pretty accurate. One of my characteristics is the Intuitive type. I am anything but normal, so this is where my creativity and imagination comes in. I am always off in my imagination, especially when I am bored. My imagination is where my creativity comes from. I enjoy being creative with crafts and do it your self projects. Before making decisions, I will look at all of the possibilities, and I will be creative with my choice. Creativity and imagination is something that is valuable in my everyday live. My imagination and creativity is one of the keys to my motivation for the present and the future.

I was classified as the opposite type , sensing. Even though our outcome were completely different, I can relate to some of the things you wrote about. I often find myself in my imagination but can quickly snap out of it . I think this were we are different. I also enjoy being creative with crafts. One of the crafts, I like is to scrapbook, but I Logical place my things around the page before gluing. Not in a go with the flow- it will turn out how it does manner. I can see how people can have the same interest but be completely different in the way to play them out.

  12. My Do What You Are personality assessment result was ENFP or extravert, inituive, feeler and perceptive. I agree very much with the results I have received according to the choices I made. I am very outgoing and like to meet new people and I usually go with the flow. I care about others and try to help them with there problems. I put people before myself and my own problems. I believe this will help me in my major and/or career by taking my experiences and use it as a strength, rather than a weakness.

    1. Hi Kristina, its nice to meet you!
It looks like we have really similar personalities. I too am very go with the flow, eventhough people tend to dislike that. I absolutly love meeting new people and getting to know a lot about them. Being an extrovert, I love having lively conversations with people. I am constantly on the move, meeting new people, being adventurous and active. However being an extrovert for me isnt always that great. Being too outgoing and easy going with school or people can sometimes end up not in the way I had planned. Reguardless I love my personality and I am so glad I found someone else pretty similar to myself!

    2. hi it seems we have some of the same personality types. I am also a very outgoing person and I tend to be the one at the parties who is meeting everyone. this is only good sometimes. even though we have that in common I also am a person who tends to like some space to myself so I am able to think and have time to do things in peace. I am alike you in the fact that I am very caring about others especially before myself. I tend to be told by the people around me that I need to take time to help myself before I never have time to.

  13. Based on my results I am a judging type. I know this is accurate because, wherever I am everything always has to be neat and organized. I absolutely cannot work, learn, or eat in an environment that is messy and dirty. In addition, I always plan ahead of time with whatever I am planning to do. My main thing is, if I plan ahead of time I avoid and hurdles that may come my way. I have many friends and relatives of mine that are the complete opposite of me, but I still try my best to put up with them.

  14. I can relate to Rawnsen Hirmiz since we both are the judging type. I always have been raised to be a very hard work as well as keeping everything orderly and neat. Like you, my calendar on my phone is always at play no matter what, because I know without that calendar my life would be unorganized and last minute. Relating to how you manage your time with playing sports and doing your homework I am somewhat similar. For instance, If I know ill be jet skiing this weekend I will make sure I get all my big projects and long homework out of the way.

  15. According to the Do What You Are assesment, I am ESFP. I think it really described me spot on. I am someone who is super easy going and will do whatever everyone else is up for. I absolutly love the outdoors, sports and animals. Something else that I found to be very true was that it said that I always see the good qualities in people, and get so easily disapointed when people aren't as nice as you think they are. I am constantly tempted to go out and do something fun and am quick to apologize and forgive. After the results from DWYA, I was not shocked to see my exact personality under ESPF.

  16. According to the Do What You Are test, I am considered a ISTJ. I was described as a thinking type. I this is this accurate. I base a lot of decisions on facts over going with my emotions. Sometime I have trouble relating with other people emotions and get myself in trouble by not sugar-coating thing when I tell them to people. I am very firm-minded and I am motivated by my own personal achievements and accomplishments. Praise from others is always good but it won't motivate me to do better, that comes from within. This sentence from the personalitypage.com, " their analytical objectivity gives them the tendency to make goal-oriented decisions that are not waylaid by the concerns of individuals", I think this describes me to a T.

    1. I was also known as the Thinking type on top of the intuitive type.I also have a hard time relating to peoples emotions. It is hard to sugar coat the things when they are the truth. I am also motivated by personal achievements and accomplishments and also motivated by others achievements. Others achievements get me motivated to accomplish my own achievements. I do not like praise from others, so I will not be motivated by glory. I hate attention, attention will only make me get distracted and my focus will not be focused on my motivation. Its nice to meet you and see that we have some of the same personality.

  17. Based on the DWYA,

Introvert: I would say I’m 80% introvert, I like to have alone time was I can gather my
    thoughts with no distracting noises.

Extrovert: I would say I’m 20% extrovert, When I’m around a group of my friends there is really no point to be a total introvert and I can get burned out on anything quickly if I don’t add variety, and It’s more fun to be spontaneous in a social situation.

Sensing: In a way this describes me, I work best when I got a good solid routine & I always life to refer to concrete information when making decisions.

Intuitive: When looking towards the future I prefer an Intuitive perspective due to the fact that thinking outside the box in my opinion is the best way to success.

Thinking: I always like to base my decisions based on logic and reasoning, I love having a good debate with someone every now and then.

Feeling: 0% me this doesn't describe me at all.

Judging: 0% me again this doesn't describe me at all.

Perceptive: This is my greatest advantage and disadvantage, I’m not the stressful type at all and “going with the flow” would be a good phrase to describe my outlook on life.
I play first and work later when the work is something I dislike and it has crashed on me a few times. I enjoy a routine and deadlines are my worst enemy.

  18. According to the DWYA personality assessment I am a ISFJ. I believe that this description fits my personality completely, I don't think the results could have been anymore correct. There is one element in my personality that helps me be a good student. Being someone who is the judging type allows me to be a well organized student. I follow a set schedule everyday that allows me to maximize my time. After school gets out my everyday routine makes it so that I have time to first complete my homework or any projects I may have and also I am able to play off season basketball. Being a judger also allows me to have credibility with my teachers. They know that I am going to turn in all of my work on or before deadlines.

  20. Based on the results I saw from the chapter I chose to write about being an extravert, as many other people did as well. I have always told myself I didn't really think a desk job would be something I would be happy with. Ever since I decided I wanted to work in criminal justice with juveniles I knew I would never be happy not communication with people. I am really looking forward to hearing stories of people and being someone that can guide them to better things and make a difference. I love building relationships with people, I truly believe if you believe in someone you could change their entire life. I hope to touch some lives throughout my career. I speak very quickly because I have so much to say most of the time. I am definitely a social person.

  21. Based on my DWYA results I am a perceiver. This I find to be very true about me and how I am. Perceivers are spontaneous, go with the flow, likes to play first then do the work later, dislikes routine, and has a lot of trouble meeting deadlines. I actually had quite a few problems with this in high school because there would be big assignments I would procrastinate and wait till the last minute to do the assignment so the work quality would not be as good as if I had spread the work out. Though I would try and set a routine out for the day so that I can try to get everything that I need to get done but I can never really seem to be able to stick to the routine that I set.

    1. I am also a perceiver! I find that in critical situations I like to go with the flow rather than solving it on my own. I am also a procrastinator and wait to do everything last minute from work to school. It is a bad habit that i want to break, but it is something that I have been doing all my life. Perceivers seem very laid back and seem to go where ever life takes them and I am defiantly that type of person. I also never stick with the routine I set which seems to make us unorganized. I don't about you but that sounds exactly like me!

  22. I am the thinker. I take a logical approach to most of my decisions. I have a black and white opinion about a lot of things. I feel that everyone can have their own opinion and they can all differ, so logic must be used to make decisions. I like numbers and facts, which helps me in math and science. I have a hard time relating to people that who use emotions run their life. At work I am motivated to succeed, and love to accomplish projects. I do like to be appreciated by others, especially at work, but I like to be appreciated because of my accomplishments. I don't like people to give me things because they like me, I would prefer to earn it.

    1. Hey Elijah, I'm also a thinker. During my first year I was majoring in physics so I too love numbers, facts, and theories. I had to look at that path objectively though - while I like do love the concepts, it became clear that I wasn't good enough to start a career in physics. What major do you hope to obtain a degree in? Also, we share a similar desire to achieve success. I'm very active in obtaining my goals and like recognition where it is due. However, regardless of the acknowledgement, I go through the motions and take the actions required to turn my dreams into realities. I'm 20, working full-time as a night auditor for Hilton, working part-time at SeaWorld, taking 17 units this semester, currently reside on the Board of Directors for an Event Management start up, and am strongly networked with San Diego based start ups. Hopefully we can both achieve the successes we desire - and can celebrate our successes wildly.

Thanks for your post. You are more of a person if a person is not doing their job or did something wrong, you will not keep them in the workforce. It is a good feature to have. You believe in what they are doing and if they are not doing what needs to be done, they have to be let go. You are very fair and honest with people. It is black and white for you as you mentioned. You are not more of a feeler that base your decisions on the way you feel and what your thoughts are of the person.

  23. Based on the DWYA, I am a judging type, and I completely agree to the results that were given to me. I keep most of my work very scheduled and hope to keep my priorities straight whenever I'm at school. Usually when I'm with friends, I tend to be the one in the group that makes all the final decisions. I can see when people arent judgers because they do things very freely and just let things flow and don't mind when things dont go to plan. I have a lot of respect for them and kind of envy how that doesnt affect them as much is it does me. Since I am a judger, I like to organize everything i possibly can to make sure I dont become stressed when things go into chaos.

  24. My DWYA showed me I'm an ISFP.it describes my personality very well and gives me understanding of myself.i am mostly an introvert and tend to over think many things.i can work in groups but mostly work alone because i work most comfortable that way. i also don't hang in big groups i like two or three friends so i know who to trust.i get my work done but sometimes i procrastinate making more work for myself.i have to study on repeat so that i get the work I'm doing.i have to have some time to myself so i can plan out what I'm doing.sometimes i can be a people pleaser doing what makes others happy.i don't put my all into something i don't have a passion for and like to stick to what i am used to.when i am motivated for something i put a lot of effort in and don't give up.

  25. According to DWYA, I am the judging type and I could not agree more. I am a very organized person and try to keep my daily life as set as possible. I schedule everything down to the t in my life. Every Sunday I have my schedule set for the entire week. I am not an easy going person because I need to know my schedule and know what I am going to do before the day it happens. Out of all my friends, I am the one who sets the plans and organizes everything. I love being the one setting all the plans and taking the time to figure everything out. I really enjoy making all the plans and find it fun. Looking back at my friends and family, I can see who a lot of people do not fall into the judging type. I would say most people are easy going and able to just go with the flow but that just is not me.

  26. Based on the DWYA, I am a INFP and I totally agree with the results. I am quiet and it takes me a while to get to know someone. I am not one to start a conversation with somebody else. I have a couple close friends and they see the true side of me. My weaknesses were also on point. I am not good with meeting deadlines and I do not always look at facts. I rely on myself more than anyone else and I do not really like working with other people. I find all of this interesting because many of my friends and family tell me I am this way and I never really gave it much though until now. Finding the type of person I am gave me a different perspective of myself and helped me improve on my blind spots and weaknesses in my personality.

    1. Hello Donovan,

Thanks for your post. You know being an introvert is not a bad thing. It is good what you know you are so you understand yourself. I can see you are not a person that does not like to come up with schedules. I am the same way like you. My girlfriend is a person that needs to have a schedule in order for her to be successful. It is important that we really understand ourselves so we know what we like. When it comes to jobs, try to find something that meets your personality.

  27. Although this test says that I am mostly a feeler, I truly believe that I am also a thinker as well. Of course I love to help others, care about others, and feel an appreciation for my hard work, but I am a very serious person when it comes to being professional at any work place. I do not put my feelings first. With work, I will think what is best for everyone. When it comes to working, I am very professional and like to get things done on time. Even a little earlier so I can have more time to relax. I also like to be on time as well. I do not like it when people are waiting for me. In my room, throughout school, and when I will be working, I am very organized.

  28. Based on the DWYA, I am an extrovert. I agree with the result because I avidly network, and try to meet as many new people as possible. I believe strongly in the phrase "a smile is contagious," thus I'm always cheerful in hopes of spreading my virality unto others. When you are energetic or charismatic you'll often find the people around you are more prone to being energetic as well. The full analysis revealed that I am an ENTJ which is considered "The Executive." It is a good fit considering I network with several start up's and was recently asked to join the Board of Directors for an Event Planning start up. Hopefully I can stick true to my personality type and become a CEO someday.

  29. Based on the DWYA, I am an extrovert. I am a little of everything though. I don't think that I am just one or the other. When I am out in about I like to talk to people and carry a fun conversation, I try and get them to smile then I know I did something right. When it comes to work time I know that I can't talk your I wont get anything done. I like how I am and wouldn't change it for anything. I just hope my personality helps me to get where I want to be.

    1. Hello Robert,

I see you are more of an extrovert which is a good thing. You enjoy having a good time with others and having fun. Your personality is something that is a great gift to have. You have the ability to get along with others. Because you are more of an extrovert you would be good in a series of jobs including sales, business, nursing, etc. I do not see you much of a scientist though. When you smile it shows you have the ability to wanting to have a relationship with others.

  30. I am more of an introvert. I am a person that likes to do my own thing and do not like to have crazy weekends. I live on my own which really evaluates myself and who I am. I know people who are extroverts that are more people that like to have fun with others and go out on weekends. I am more like a scientist. I like to be on my own and do my own thing. Even at work, I am a person that usually has my headphones on and do my job. I do not like to be very social with others.

  31. My DWYA report describes me as "ISFP". It described me accurately but not perfctly. When I looked at the personality page ISFP fits in the category of "The Artists" which was very interesting to me because I am really into music production. This inspired to keep going with the music. As an introverted person everything is based from within me. The personality page describes me as introverted feeling. Most of my important decisions that I have to make are based on logic sometimes but mostly are based from what I believe it right or is in my value system. Ultimately, the choices I make are my own choices and can have the same or better outcome if I based my choices off of logic and objective consideration.

  32. I am also a perceiving type of person. I dislike living in a life full of schedules and routines. It makes life boring. I am more adventurous and in search of new beginnings and new experiences. I also believe that the best things go unplanned. It happens to me that when I plan things they aren't as exciting or they do not go as I planned. I can be very open minded and accept other people's ideas and beliefs. Since I procrastinate a little I gain extra energy as deadlines come closer and end up doing a good job.
